The Trenchless Pipe Lining Process
In order for the trenchless pipe lining process to be effective, there are prior steps that need to be taken. When we arrive on your property, we will first inspect the pipeline system through camera inspection technology. The sewer cameras that we insert into the system are waterproof and small, capable of capturing high-quality footage while being expertly navigated throughout the bends and curves of the pipes. This gives us confidence in our diagnosis of the problem as well as the solution that we decide on.
If we recommend trenchless pipe lining as the preferred solution, we will take steps to prepare the pipe for the lining process and guarantee that it is installed smoothly. To do this, we carefully clear the pipelines of debris and waste with our hydro jetting equipment. By blasting high-pressure steams of hot water, we can scour the pipeline clean of the accumulation of organic materials and clogs, restoring the smooth, clean diameter of the pipe. This cleaning process ensures that the pipe liner we install will adhere properly to the inside of the pipe.
Once your pipes are prepared, an inflatable liner will be assembled and coated with a liquid epoxy resin. The liner is positioned into the pipe to cover the areas of damage, and this liner can be cut to extend throughout the entire pipeline or portions of it, making the trenchless pipe lining process versatile and flexible to meet the needs of the situation. After it is in place, the liner is inflated with an artificial bladder. This expansion forces the liner to be inflated and pressed against the interior of the pipe, allowing the epoxy resin to cover damaged areas inside of the pipe.
Once the epoxy resin has been evenly applied inside of the pipe, the liner is deflated and removed from inside of the pipe, and for the next several hours, the epoxy resin is given time to cure and harden along the interior walls. After this is complete, the resin has created a new seamless, smooth liner inside of the old pipe. These qualities encourage the liner to serve the home or business efficiently, increasing the flow of water through the system, preventing clog formations, and resisting corrosion and weather fluctuations that would typically affect other pipeline materials, allowing it to last for at least 50 years or more.
